From the Old: Final Bit

Oh, how I love the rain!  It’s incredibly romantic, calming–but oh, how it makes everything so dreary and depressing!  On days like these, even the most fashionable of girls slack off, like the rain has cast some spell over their creativity.  But no more!  Rainy days are no excuse to cut back on style.  Avoid the rainy day blues with COLOR.  Not only will you look awesome, you’ll feel better, too–just look here.

1)  Keep it Simple, Stupid.

For this outfit, I thought I’d make something easy that could be pulled together with any girl’s staples:  skinny jeans, a basic, light-colored v-neck, and simple jewelry.  Adding a good rain jacket, cute shoes, and a simple umbrella help to pull together the look.  Be sure that there is only one dominant color, and keep all other colors and muted.  

2)  Feeling Flirty?

If there is anything I never do, it’s wear dresses on rainy days.  For that reason, I thought I’d surprise myself and put together an outfit I never thought of:  a flirty, feminine rainy day look.  Starting with  patterned, opaque tights for inspiration, add a simple dress and a feminine rain jacket.  Choose rain boots with more detail than your average galoshes, and keep the jewelry at a minimum.  


3)  Rock it.

The last outfit is mostly for the less girly girls out there.  With a pair of bright skinny jeans, a faux leather jacket, and an over-sized band t-shirt with a pair of Doc Marten-esque rain boots, you’ll be able to show off your awesome style and bad-ass attitude.  Put on your favorite belt and find a quirky umbrella–you’re good to go.
